The sparkle of stones and the elegance of design fascinated me. Each piece evoked a memory, a significant event in my grandmother’s life. I loved when she shared the story behind each jewel, revealing her most cherished memories.
A sapphire reminded her of her parents, a brilliant diamond symbolised her love, and a medallion marked a birth. She was also the guardian of inherited family jewellery, knowing each piece’s secret.
My journey was profoundly influenced by a personal event.
In 2020, a theft deprived my grandmother of several cherished pieces. This loss deeply affected me: beyond their material value, these were fragments of memory and family history.
This shock, combined with a visceral need to recreate the lost pieces, led me to become a jeweller-goldsmith. I named my brand “Lenoir” after my grandmother’s maiden name. I set out to breathe new life into them—not by replicating objects but by creating emotion, connection, and stories.
Today, my work is driven by this quest for meaning. I refuse to melt down gold brought to me, as I do not wish to contribute to the circulation of metals with uncertain origins, sometimes linked to other thefts. I favour an ethical and sustainable approach, focusing on creating unique pieces that tell a story and are passed down as true heirlooms.
Since childhood, I’ve been fascinated by jewellery. The pieces my grandmother wore ignited my passion.
